It’s particularly frustrating to see characters constantly burden Sidney with guilt for simply surviving or for being a mother, and the level of insensitivity raises questions about whether the writer even cares about her anymore.

Even though critics didn’t like the newest Scream movie, a sequel – Scream 8 – is already planned by Spyglass and Paramount. It’s unclear if Neve Campbell will reprise her role as Sidney, but the film’s earnings show that the Scream series, after 30 years, still has an audience.

Okay, so Scream 7 is doing really well in theaters, which is great news for fans like me! It looks like it’s going to be a big hit on Paramount+ too. Honestly, while this installment wasn’t quite as amazing as some of the older Scream movies, it’s clear Ghostface still knows how to grab our attention and keep us hooked!
