I’m writing to address false information shown in the Netflix documentary, Sean Coombs: The Reckoning, which was released on December 2, 2025. The documentary contains inaccurate details about my son Sean’s childhood and family, and I believe this was done deliberately to deceive viewers and damage our family’s name.

Despite denying the stories were true, she still criticized Netflix. She stated the company should be embarrassed for sharing damaging and unproven claims. She also accused Kirk Burrows, who is currently suing Diddy, of falsely claiming her son had physically abused her.
Mr. Kirk Burrows’ claim that my son slapped me during a conversation after the upsetting events at City College on December 28, 1991, is untrue. It was a deeply sad day for everyone involved. To exploit this tragedy with false stories in order to pursue something he never rightfully had – and to involve Bad Boy Records in this – is not only wrong and shocking, but deeply offensive.
Janice finished her statement by saying her son had always been kind and supportive, consistently looking after her well-being and financial security. She then requested that everyone involved with the documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning remove any inaccurate information presented within it.
Sean has always been a caring and responsible son, consistently making sure I’m well taken care of, managing my health, and providing financial help.
I am requesting that these distortions, falsehoods and misleading statements be publicly retracted.
