Tucker Must Keep Watch Over Various Fruit
In the first season of the Prime Video series, Tucker tries to join Dean and Beau Maxwell’s fraternity. As part of his initiation, the brothers give him a grape to look after. He’s told that if anything happens to the grape – if it gets damaged or lost – he’ll have to watch a bigger fruit instead. Over the course of the season, the grape is replaced with a strawberry, then a banana, and finally a watermelon.
Back in May 2026, a fan noticed that Tucker held a piece of fruit in the first season of the show, and thought it was a clever hint about his later storyline – a reference to how babies are often compared to fruits when developing in the womb. Another fan jokingly said the writer who came up with that detail deserved a raise.
What Happens in Tucker’s Book?
In the opening of The Goal, Tucker and Sabrina, a law student, have a casual encounter in his truck after leaving a bar. Later, Sabrina finds out she’s pregnant, and they start making plans to raise a family together. Years later, they have a daughter named Jamie and eventually get married, as shown in the epilogue of Kennedy’s The Legacy.
In the continuation of Kennedy’s Campus Diaries series, Tucker and Sabrina have another daughter named Alex.
Tucker’s Costume Choice
In another part of the show Off Campus, Tucker goes to a joint birthday party for Dean and Beau. The party has a “dynamic duos” theme, so Tucker dresses up as a bumblebee and Logan as a hawk.
In an interview with Deadline in May 2026, Melissa Brooks explained the episode’s themes, saying, “I play the role of the bumblebee, and Logan represents the hawk or bird.” She added that the episode uses the phrase ‘the birds and the bees’ as a playful reference to the personal stories of both John Logan and John Tucker, particularly Tucker’s, and that the episode contains a lot of subtle hints about what’s to come.
What Jalen Thomas Brooks Said About His ‘Off Campus’ Future
I’m so excited! It sounds like Brooks is definitely coming back for season two of Off Campus. He actually told Us Weekly back in May 2026 that he’s already seen the first couple of scripts, which is amazing news for all of us fans!
He hinted that viewers will soon see Tucker evolve into the character described in the source material. He’s looking forward to audiences discovering Tucker’s subtly unsettling nature and hints of a romantic side.
It’s unclear whose romance – Tucker’s, Dean’s, or Logan’s – will be the main focus in season 2, but the show’s creators are optimistic that all three love stories will eventually be featured.
By the time The Goal is adapted for Prime Video, Brooks will be ready for the spotlight.
Brooks shared with Us that he appreciated watching Belmont take the lead through his own actions. He explained that during his first season, he’s been observing how people naturally step up as leaders, and a key discussion among the cast and crew revolved around treating everyone with respect and leading by example.
