Devil May Cry: Season 1

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the animated adaptation of Capcom’s beloved hack-and-slash video game series, Devil May Cry, will be brought to life by Studio Mir – a partner Netflix has worked with extensively in the past. Notably, this is the same studio responsible for the captivating and critically acclaimed Voltron: Legendary Defender, which left Netflix last year. This collaboration promises an exhilarating journey into the world of DMC!
In the upcoming series “Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War“, Johnny Yong Bosch, previously known for voicing Ichigo, will assume the character of Dante – a white-haired demon hunter on a quest to avenge his mother’s death and correct the wrongs done to his brother.
Dandadan: Season 2
- Premiere Date: July 2025
In the span of a single year, “Dandadan” skyrocketed to fame, earning this recognition through stunning animation by Science SARU and poignant storytelling, including the moving tale of Acrobatic Silky’s heart-wrenching past.
Moving forward from the thrilling suspense left in the previous season, the upcoming season of Dandadan will follow the Cursed House arc, The Evil Eye, and a portion of the Kaiju arcs as seen in the manga. A new character named Vamola is set to enter the series, adding to the diverse group of teenage characters in Dandadan.
It hasn’t been specified when exactly, but the upcoming season of “Dandadan” (comprising 12 episodes) is expected to drop on Netflix in July.
The Summer Hikaru Died: Season 1

According to the well-known horror manga created by Mokumokuren, “The Summer Hikaru Died” is set to be brought to life by studio CygamesPictures and air on Nippon TV in either late summer or early fall of 2025. After its initial broadcast, the series will be available for streaming worldwide on Netflix.
In a small, unpromising Japanese countryside village reside two teenage lads, Yoshiki and Hikaru. Despite their distinct personalities, their bond is indissoluble. However, when something unusual occurs to Hikaru, Yoshiki finds himself questioning whether an extraterrestrial influence has taken over his friend instead.
My Melody & Kuromi: Season 1

WIT STUDIO is set to create the stop-motion anime titled “My Melody & Kuromi” as a celebration for the 50th and 20th anniversaries of their respective main characters. These adorable rabbits were brought to life by Sanrio, the company renowned for Hello Kitty.
Under the direction of Tomoki Misato, famously known for his work on “Pui Pui Molcar”, and penned by Shuko Nemoto, the heartwarming series titled “My Melody & Kuromi” is set to make its debut exclusively on Netflix in the month of July. The exact premiere date has yet to be revealed.
Splinter Cell: Deathwatch: Season 1

Fans of the stealth game series “Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell,” who haven’t had a new game since “Blacklist” in 2013 and have seen Tom Hardy’s movie adaptation stall, are eagerly awaiting further escapades with Sam Fisher.
It’s great news that Netflix plans to unveil the anime-styled series, “Splinter Cell: Deathwatch,” which brings a fresh perspective to contemporary espionage in this hybrid-war period.
Rather than Michael Ironside, who originally portrayed Fisher, having become too old for the character, Liev Schreiber has been cast to voice the undercover special forces operative instead.
Leviathan: Season 1

As a cinephile, I am thrilled to share that the renowned animation powerhouse, Orange, best known for its exceptional work on each season of BEASTARS, is set to bring to life Leviathan. This upcoming production is inspired by Scott Westerfeld’s 2009 bio-steampunk novel.
In 1914, the world of “Leviathan” stands on the brink of war. A runaway prince named Aleksandar and a young lady, Deryn Sharp, cross paths aboard the bioengineered airship called HMS Leviathan, altering the direction of history.
Westerfeld affirmed that the anime adaptation would encompass the other Leviathan books, specifically Behemoth and Goliath. The artwork of Keith Thompson from the novels is expected to greatly influence the appearance of the series.
Westerfeld himself acknowledged on his blog that “the producers hold Thompson in high regard, and his contributions were essential for us to proceed with the project.
The One Piece: Season 1

Although it’s unlikely that the second season of Netflix’s live-action “One Piece” series will premiere in 2025, fans can still look forward to revisiting the entire original anime and a fresh retelling of Luffy’s earlier escapades, which are set to debut this year.
In a bid to make “One Piece” more appealing for today’s viewers, the animation team responsible for “Spy x Family,” namely WIT Studio, plans to create a fresh interpretation of the East Blue Saga titled simply as “The One Piece.
In this updated version of the renowned manga, they’ll employ the latest visual technology to create a more modern take. Compared to Toei’s initial production, it’s expected to eliminate unnecessary scenes and slow-paced moments, and possibly introduce a fresh group of actors to voice the Straw Hat pirates.
Blood of Zeus: Season 3
- Premiere Date: 2025
Following their work on series such as Castlevania, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, and Masters of the Universe: Revelation for Netflix, Powerhouse Animation is back with their new production titled Blood of Zeus.
Previously, the final moments of the show left fans on edge as it appeared that Heron met his demise, and the vast group from Blood of Zeus now finds themselves up against an angry Gaia who has called forth the Titan Typhon with the intention of wiping them out.
Instead, the creators Charley and Vlas Parlapanides had initially intended for five seasons of Blood of Zeus, but instead, it will end with Season 3.
