シドニーラジオのショックワーブ:象徴的なショーから屈する最愛のホスト!

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has decided to bring an end to The Triple M Night Shift and the much-loved host, Luke Bona.

The program, airing for almost nine years, received nominations for four different awards within the Australian Commercial Radio Industry during the year 2019.

The list encompassed the categories such as Top Speech Presenter, Top News Presenter, Brian White Prize for Radio Journalism Excellence, and the Best Program Producer (for both Talk and Current Affairs).

I couldn’t contain my excitement any longer, so I shared some fantastic news with all of you, my beloved fans! I want to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering loyalty throughout these incredible years. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

To my beloved Night Shift crew, it’s with a sense of profound sadness that I bring you this news – our cherished Night Shift journey is nearing its end this week. Yet, in an act of great kindness, management has granted us the opportunity for one final celebration before we bid farewell.

From midnight onwards, for around seven dozen broadcast stations, we’ll strive to provide enjoyable programming and companionship until dawn breaks.

If you’re part of our family, it would mean a lot to us if you could share your thoughts, allowing us the opportunity to bid you goodbye.

It’s the latest in a slew of axings across Sydney‘s radio sphere.

Last November, Mitch Churi gained widespread attention following a harsh termination of his role as an on-air host at KIIS FM.

Churi, aged 28, has been the host of The Night Show featuring Mitch Churi since 2019, along with co-hosting The Pick Up alongside Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne.

In a live broadcast during November, Mitch revealed that KIIS FM’s management had decided not to renew his contract, causing widespread surprise throughout the network.

Mitch started off by saying that he learned towards the end of the previous week that, according to those in charge, his position here would not be renewed after 2025.

Mitch then revealed he was blindsided by the decision and he wished it had not come to this.

Just wanted to let you both know, it wasn’t my choice or my call. Truth be told, I genuinely wanted to stick around on the show with you two. In fact, I really wished to continue my journey with KIIS.

3FM has recently cancelled several of its programs, including “The Rush Hour” hosted by Gus Worland, Jude Bolton, and Aaron Woods, as well as the morning show co-hosted by Mark Geyer and Mick Molloy.

19 Sydney-based radio hosts won’t be back behind their microphones for the rest of this year, as a significant shakeup in the radio stations takes place.

Additionally, only one daily Sydney-based talk show remains on air; it’s the new morning program featuring Beau Ryan, Natarsha Belling, and Aaron Wood.
