“I’m eagerly waiting as we continue filming. I can’t quite say which episode we’re on, but with the end in sight, production is still underway. I have faith that NBC and Universal will sort out their matters once we wrap up, and I’m hopeful for positive updates because this journey has been nothing short of enjoyable.

One aspect that drew me to the original series I watched is the palpable enjoyment everyone seemed to be having, and I believe we’ve managed to recreate that feeling here. On other shows, I’ve found that people aren’t enjoying themselves, which isn’t enjoyable to be a part of, and one hopes it gets canceled.

Essentially, what you’re saying is: This series is improving with each new script and episode, and we’re eager for more. Ideally, we’ll have the opportunity to produce even more episodes in the future.

  • TopMob: “Do you have a favorite episode this season, and which would it be?”

McDermitt: “I’m finding it hard to distinguish between the episodes as they seem to blend together in my mind at the moment. However, I have a soft spot for Episode 10 and Episode 12 is also quite impressive. Choosing a favorite among them is like choosing a favorite child.

I Definitely Think the Seeds of Reconciliation Have Been Planted.

Note from the Editor: The interview discussed took place following the broadcast of Suits LA Episode 6 titled “Dester” on NBC, prior to the airing of Episode 7.

In the series premiere, it seemed like Ted Black and I parted ways with Stuart Lane, ending our friendship. However, following episode six, titled “Dester,” it looked like we were on the path to reconciliation, as we joined forces to secure a victory in a murder trial together.

  • TopMob: “In Episode 6, ‘Dester,’ we finally see that Stuart and Ted have come back together and reconciled the differences after a season of Fallout. Now that they’re on speaking terms again, do you see them being under the same firm again one day?”

Josh McDermitt: “It seems that the foundations for reconciliation have been laid, but it’s still uncertain if they will reunite living under one roof again. I believe there is more effort required to mend their relationship completely.

For over two decades, they’ve been as close as best friends and brothers, yet they’ve experienced significant pain in their relationship. This isn’t a case where only one party has been hurt; both Stuart and Ted have been affected by this. In one episode, Stuart himself admitted that they didn’t always bring out the best in each other.

This progress is certainly a positive move forward, even though there may still be more work required. It’s refreshing to observe two individuals engaging in constructive conversation instead of constant arguments. However, whether they can find common ground remains uncertain. Only time will tell.

  • TopMob: “In the show, we know Stuart has an actual family and a wife, Helen. Do you think we’ll see more of that explored later in the season or in the future in general?”

McDermitt: “Absolutely, it was indeed significant to me. I didn’t fully appreciate its importance until I came across the script detailing that Stuart had a stable family life. Often, when we encounter Stuart, he’s involved in heated exchanges or disputes, which makes this aspect of his character more poignant.

After learning he has such a wonderful family life, I couldn’t help but tear up. I was happy for him, yet sad at the thought of that kind of happiness being absent from my own home. It’s heartening to see someone who can compartmentalize his personal and professional lives so well, having an amazing spouse, kids, and a loving family. Plus, it’s great that he gets to support his children in their sports activities by attending their games and events.

It wasn’t until we observed and read more about it that I understood its significance. We plan to delve further into this topic, potentially uncovering aspects like the roots of his family. It should prove insightful, making for an interesting exploration.

In a past interview, it was mentioned that the dynamic of relationships among all characters was discussed, including potential pairings. During this conversation, Stephen Amell stated that everyone could be involved, to which he responded, “But not Stuart. Stuart is alright, Stuart is good.
